Jeremy Wallace, Senior Pastor
PERSONAL:
On March 7, 2010, Maranatha Baptist Church called Jeremy Wallace as pastor. Having worked in ministries in the Chattanooga area as well as in Ohio, Jeremy brings a fresh outlook to this well-established church. His priority is to preach Bible-based expository sermons while also equipping the church to reach out to the community by building children’s, youth, singles’, and family programs. Dana, his wife, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music and teaches piano at Grace Academy. Along with using her musical talents, she directs the women’s ministries. Jeremy and Dana have two boys; a five-year old and a newborn.
EDUCATION:
Pastor Wallace received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bible with minors in both Business and Psychology from Tennessee Temple University, a Master of Ministry Degree from Temple Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Religious Education Degree from Temple Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Theological Studies from Baptist Bible Seminary.
MINISTERIAL EXPERIENCE:
Prior to becoming the Senior Pastor at Maranatha Baptist Church, Pastor Wallace was the Senior Pastor of Turning Point Community Church from 2008-2010. He also served as the Youth and Public Relations Pastor at The Canton Baptist Temple in Canton, OH from 2004-2006. Prior to his time in Ohio, Pastor Wallace served as the youth minister at Stanley Heights Baptist Church in East Ridge, TN from 1999-2002. He was also the Director of Admissions at Tennessee Temple University from 2002-2004 & 2006-2007.
Pastor Wallace has taken mission trips to Salt Lake City, Utah (1997 & 2002), Costa Rica (1996 & 2011), and The Philippines (2005).
Pastor Wallace also teaches periodically at the Chattanooga Rescue Mission.
